girlSport Launches Catalog To Serve 7-12 Year Old Market

girlSport, LLC, a manufacturer of girls' sportswear, introduced its premiere catalog today. Featuring proprietary designs in vibrant colors, girlSport seeks to establish a lifestyle brand that supports 7-12 year old girls who participate in sports (www.girlsport.net).

"There are absolutely no brands that serve this market," said David Dubbs, Founder and CEO of girlSport. "Everything has been built by boys, for boys, without any consideration for the design sensibility of young, fashion-forward girls. For soccer or basketball, for example, they pretty much make the girls wear what the boys wear."

The girlSport catalog features apparel for Tennis, Dance, Gymnastics, Swimming, Ice Skating, Soccer, Baseball, Basketball, Beach and Casual Wear. The company also sells a range of accessories.

Available in popular sizes, the company sells predominantly via its catalog. "The sport shops don't give any space to girls, so going direct to consumers seemed to be the most effective way of reaching the market," Dubbs said. "We're also showing real girls who actually play their sports in order to achieve a higher level of authenticity."

Founded in 2003, girlSport designs, manufactures, and distributes its own line of merchandise for the 20 million girls who actively participate in individual and team sports. The company's products are Made In The USA by full-wage employees.
