omas the Tank Engine Welcomes New Friends to the Island of Sodor

It's a special day on the Island of Sodor as Thomas and Sir Topham Hatt roll out the "red track" to welcome 10 new friends to the Island. Fans will delight in meeting each new friend featured in six all-new episodes as well as a new music video in New Friends for Thomas & Other Adventures. This latest Thomas & Friends™ direct-to-video release from Anchor Bay Entertainment introduces aspiring engineers to new rail and road friends as they discover the satisfaction of a job well done, and learn important messages about friendship, cooperation, and teamwork. As a special bonus, these adventures feature the storytelling magic of Michael Angelis from the original UK production.

Produced by HIT Entertainment, New Friends for Thomas & Other Adventures is recommended for ages 2-6 and will be available on DVD and VHS March 16, 2004. The suggested retail price for the 35-minute VHS is $12.98. The DVD, suggested at $19.98, is loaded with bonus features highlighting the welcoming of Thomas' New Friends. Bonus features include:
·    Three all new games, A Day at the Works, Really Useful Engines and Really Useful Places
·    Sing-Along Song
·    Character scrap book where engineers can learn about Thomas and his new friends
·    Choose your favorite adventure
·    Link that connects to the Thomas & Friends website for more activities and fun

Anchor Bay Entertainment will also offer a Special Limited Edition VHS of New Friends for Thomas & Other Adventures, which will include an on-pack of RC2's Thomas Wooden Railway Train, for a suggested retail price of $14.98.

Thomas the Tank Engine enjoys working with his friends James, Gordon, Percy, and Henry. But there is always room for more Really Useful Engines on the Island of Sodor. Meet Emily, the beautiful and shiny engine who gets to take Annie and Clarabel around the tracks much to Thomas' dismay; Spencer, the sleekest engine the Island of Sodor has seen; Arthur, the engine with the "spotless record" - - that is until Thomas gets involved; and the mighty Murdoch who just longs for a little peace and quiet. Thomas will also take you to the new quarry on the Island, where you'll be introduced to Jack, Alfie and the rest of the hard working construction crew. Thomas and his friends hit some cracks in the track, but learn that being friends is the most important lesson of all. New friends pulling into stations in New Friends for Thomas & Other Adventures are:

·    Gordon and Spencer
·    Emily's New Coaches
·    The Spotless Record
·    Peace and Quiet
·    Jack Jumps In
·    A Friend in Need

Also included is the musical tribute "Five New Engines in the Shed" featuring Emily, Arthur, Murdoch, Salty and Harvey.
