 Doggone Crazy board game receives rave review from The Dabbling Mum
Doggone Crazy is the first ever board game to empower kids with the knowledge they need to make safe choices around dogs. Alyce Edrich, Editor-in-Chief of The Dabbling Mum, the national publication for busy parents, today posted a review of Doggone Crazy. “This is an extremely educational game, but it was designed to help your child have fun while learning important key elements”, says Ms. Edrich.
In her review, Ms Edrich stated: “Doggone Crazy is the first board game in a long time to keep my kids attention. As soon as the game arrived, they ripped open the package and sat down to play with two visiting friends. The oldest, a 14-year-old boy felt parts of the game were too easy and childish, but that didn't stop him from playing three more rounds! My 13-year-old son, 9-year-old daughter, and her 12 year-old friend laughed, giggled, screamed, and jumped up from their seats (apparently it's part of the game) as they played this game again, and again, and again. Spring break is just around the corner, a time when dog behavior consultants brace themselves for an onslaught of calls from distraught dog owners and parents. “I have been receiving an elevated number of dog bite calls because of the recent weather-related school closures”, says dog behavior specialist, Jennifer Shryock of Family Paws in Cary NC. “When dogs and kids are cooped up together and family routines change, dogs can become stressed and anxious and accidents can happen”. Ms Shryock and Teresa Lewin, dog behavior expert and co-creator of Doggone Crazy, give the following advice to parents: “Supervise kids at all times and give the dogs and kids separate zones in the home so that all can be safe and happy. Never leave a toddler or baby alone with any dog even for a second. Provide an opportunity for safe, supervised fun for kids and dogs… go for a walk, play fetch, teach the dog some new tricks. Teach kids how to read dog body language.”
