Mag Dots™ Make Learning Fun -- Unique self-adhesive metal discs enable the creation of interactive t

July 21, 2004 -- Fascinate-Educate, Inc. announces the availability of Mag Dots self-adhesive metal discs, enabling teachers and homeschooling parents to create interactive teaching tools and games that make learning fun for young children. Personalized fishing games can be created using Mag Dots with other Fascinate-Educate products, such as Design-a-Fish™ fishing game accessory, Fish Stick™ magnetic fishing pole, and Fish Puddle™ play mat.

Lightweight and easy to use, Mag Dots remain attracted to magnets even after being laminated with plastic film. They can also be stacked on top of another to increase the magnetic attraction for heavier items.

Mag Dots were originally developed for the Fishing for Letters!™ game set to enable the fish pieces to be picked up with the Fish Stick. A retailer suggested offering the metal discs as a standalone product, leading to the creation of Mag Dots.

According to Sue Lubeck, owner of The Bookies bookstore in Denver, Colorado, "Mag Dots are especially handy for bulletin boards and wall calendars, enabling our customers to create displays that can be quickly changed. Unlike the traditional use of staples and pushpins to hold up the various pieces, Mag Dots reduce the wear and tear from holes made by them."

"The great thing about Mag Dots is that they have many uses other than bulletin boards, calendars, and fishing games," adds Josephine Nakata, President and CEO of Fascinate-Educate. "You can use them in crafts and scrapbooking, too. They’re unique and versatile--just peel and stick! New ideas for Mag Dots will also be posted on our Web site."

Mag Dots come packaged in a quantity of 56 pieces with a suggested retail price of $4.99. Mag Dots and other Fascinate-Educate products are available at bookstores, school supply stores and specialty toy stores. About Fascinate-Educate, Inc.
Fascinate-Educate is a family owned and managed company that provides educational and craft materials to help children learn reading, writing, and mathematics in school and home environments. A former reading specialist and mother founded Fascinate-Educate to help challenged children to succeed in school through a highly personalized tutoring program. Unable to find commercially available materials to effectively perform her objectives, she developed her own teaching tools that were highly praised by the parents and classroom teachers of her clients. Thus, Fascinate-Educate expanded to offer educational products based on the tools developed for the tutoring service.
