12-Year-Old Takes on Bullies To Help Others Stay Safe

July 11, 2004 -- BACK-TO-SCHOOL means Back-to-being-bullied for many of our children. A parent’s biggest worry is sending their child off to school to become another bullying-statistic. With that in mind, Patrick McKay ---a 12yr old, middle school student from Pasadena MD created an educational video on bullying. The first of it’s kind (a video made BY kid FOR kids) has proven already to be a parents best tool in keeping their children safe, and prepared for such situations should they ever be encountered.

Having only been actively on the market for approx. 6 months, Patrick has already found a great demand for his video nationwide with demand already reaching as far as Hawaii!

Being active and contributing volunteers in their community since they were toddlers, Patrick and his younger brother, Collin, have earned great recognition for their work to help others. The creation of this video was just another way for them to reach out and help others. An investment of countless hours of research, planning, choreographing and scripting went in to this project. A real “Labor of Love” on Patrick’s part.

“If this video helps just one child stay safe in a bullying situation, it is time and effort well spent”, says young Patrick.

Patrick’s unselfish gifts of confidence & knowledge have already earned him some great recognition from many notables including the President(s) Bush!His newly released video has already established itself in the market by earning both the AEGIS and COMMUNICATOR Awards for Excellence. Patrick is quite a remarkable young man, and the story of his outstanding efforts to help others would make a great public interest segment/article!
